This option starts with an introduction to our herd, giving you the chance to learn about these fascinating creatures whilst meeting our different types of alpacas and llamas. Next comes the ‘speed-dating’, where we match the right animal with you for the walk. Each llama and alpaca has its own personality with their own likes and dislikes, so for the welfare and enjoyment of animal and human, we match everybody suitably. We cover a health and safety brief before embarking on our 3.5 mile route, trekking down to the next village.

On this experience, we stop off in a beautiful woodland area and enjoy beverages and biscuits whilst you and your llama relax. After the break we continue through the woodland, making our way back through country lanes and tracks that take us back to the farm. There is some hill walking involved but all at a leisurely pace. On reaching the farm, you will then see our other herd members enjoying their day in the field. After departing company from your new fleecy companion, it is time for a picnic lunch, all made to your taste or dietary requirements which is ordered when booking. You can choose to enjoy your lunch in our picnic area whilst taking in the incredible view and animals in the fields, or you can take this away with you should you be in a hurry to your next adventure!

This trek can operate all year round; it does require a minimum of four animals and four humans for it to run.  If you are just looking to book one, two or three animals, ‘no prob-lama’, you just need to book when we have others already booked on! It is most popular during the Spring and Summer mainly weekends, with some  weekdays where dates are popular. Much less frequent throughout Autumn and Winter and generally always weekends.  Just let us have your preferred dates and we can advise you on availability. This trek always runs in the morning as it completes with the picnic lunch.

Please note that everyone attending is part of the experience and must have a place booked. The minimum age for this option is 14 years old. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
